yep, I'm up

I'm actually a bit surprised. I had a very tired day all day. I had to work two of my jobs today, and I didn't plan on coming home between the two, what with the Scotland game on, nutters in the streets, and the bus fare; however, I was so shattered, that I did come home and take a wee nap.

I'm glad I did. Though I feel I may have potentially ruined my sleep habit by doing so.

Tonight, after I got home from Job#2, Svenska and I had made a snack and were watching Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Of course, both being tired, we both zonked out, not an hour into the movie. I woke up at about 2 this morning, got Svenska up so she could go to bed properly, and I went to bed myself.

However, I just couldn't get back to sleep. My legs are itchy or something. So I decided to listen to my audiobook version of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

Boy was this a mistake.

Normally, when I listen to the odd audiobook, I inevitably fall asleep. In fact, when I had no telly, I would use this method to lull me to sleep so I wouldn't fester on the stress that was nagging at me.

However, I just got to a very very interesting part of the book, and I just couldn't go to sleep after that, no way.

I finally succumbed and got up and made myself a cup of tea. This was also a mistake, but...oh well. I was up anyway.

I finished the book...about 430 or so. And I still can't get to sleep. It isn't as though I'm still thinking about the book or anything. I just can't get to sleep. Even going to my happy place didnt' help.

So here I am...posting on my journal at 5am. It's madness.
