wakey wakey

Svenska and I got up really early this morning. It wasn't pretty. We had to go run an errand before 9am, so we were trying to get to the bus by 8.

Right.

So, now we'll try to get to the bus by 820.

Riiiight.

We eventually did leave, and I think it was actually at 830. Cutting it a bit close, but not bad, considering we were both up until 2 this morning.

After we got off the bus, we had a good 10 minute walk to get to where we were going, and we were singing 'Do, a deer, a female deer. Re, a drop of golden sun' (etc etc) down the street. This woman, who was apparently on her way to work turned around and just started laughing at us. Hilarious. We were quite amused with ourselves. If you can get someone to laugh or smile that early in the morning, then you've done your job right!

After our errand, we went to a cafe/diner place and had some coffee that was so black we had to keep adding milk to it. It's the sure way to make a cup of coffee last forever. Just brew it really black and then when it gets to 3/4 full, add more milk. Repeat until coffee actually turns that creamy colour that it should when milk is added.

I had a bacon roll. There was too much butter on it. Bygones.

On the way home, it was another rendition of 'Do, a deer, a female deer' and we made another woman turn around and laugh at us. 'Now' I said evilly to her, 'You will have that song in your head all day!' and she laughed and said, 'Yep. It worked. I'll never get that song out of my head now!'

Another person smiling. Job well done. Yay us!

So far it's been an adventurous morning. Finally home now, and with all that very very strong coffee I've had, I'll never get my nap in. Oh well. Who needs naps anyway? I have coffee!
