It’s hilarious how we keep adding “middle names” to Penny’s name. We’re up to…

Penelope Isabella Elise Hilarious Wild Took Williams.

Hilarious Wild is actually the name of one of Stewart’s distant (in the past) relatives. I think it’s great.

Things are going good with the pup…We took her to the vet because her cough was getting worse, and it turns out she has pneumonia. So now she’s on medication, and hopefully she’ll get better.

We don’t know who’s going to take care of her over Thanksgiving, and we called the airline to see if we could take her on the plane to Savannah, and they said that they were full (for pets, that is). So hopefully Stewart’s dad and stepmom will watch her over the weekend.

School is so fucking busy. I just realized how much stuff I have to do in the next two weeks. Which prompted me to take 2 weeks off work and generally freak out. Hopefully I make it through this. Jesus, so much work.

Later.

okay….I’m still alive

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 7:08 pm

So as usual, I’ll just grovel here for not posting and give you some pictures to make up for it.

We’re still alive, but things are very busy. Classes, classroom observations, work, wedding stuff, etc. We switched our wedding location (found someplace that’s only 10 minutes from La Crosse–I’ve got pictures to show) but the date’s still the same (June 23rd, if you forgot). Anyways, picture time.

So here’s the cool part–there’s this huge waterfall there!

Bridge over the creek–this picture is taken from on top of the waterfall.

Also, Stew and I babysat for Henna a few weeks ago (she’s almost 2 months old now!!). Here’s pictures of us “playing house” with her.

Stew feeding the baby.

And I’m feeding the baby (she ate a lot).

Yep, still eating.

And a big smile for us.

Okay–hopefully that makes up for some negligence. Emails are welcomed and appreciated.

Hennasy Olivia

Stew and I went over to the hospital today after class. Henna/Henny is sooo cute. We’re going back to see the family again tomorrow afternoon, and I’ll get some pictures.

So, apparently these are each worth a thousand words…so that makes up for me not updating in a long time.

First, some pictures of the place we picked to get married at. If anyone is wondering, June 23, 2007 in McGregor, Iowa (well, tentatively. we can’t reserve the shelter until January 1st, but this is the date we want). I’m planning on making one of those cheesy wedding websites in a few months once we get a couple more details planned. And you’re all invited, of course.Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

here’s our rings (which cost a grand total of 37.00 for both)

In other news, our current teacher is so bad that the majority of the class has taken to heading out to a local seedy bar after thursday classes. Stewart has taken up karoake.

We also had a mini-party at our place two weekends ago. First we went to a baseball game (booooor-ing), then on to the drinking, eating, and party games (apples to apples featured below). Also, my friend Karsten finally came back from German–he joined some of my classmates/co-workers for the shin-dig.

And that’s all for now. Ta-ta.

God, it’s been so long. But, I’ve been up to my ears in all manner of shit: work, school, and a lot of health issues. I’ve seen 4 different doctors in the past couple of weeks, just trying to figure some stuff out. I’ve been dealing with a lot of stress and anxiety, and my health has been pretty sub-par for about 6 months now. But, it got to the point recently when I really had to go in to the hospital to figure some stuff out. So I’m now back on zoloft, I saw an OB/GYN (because my period stopped for almost 3 months), a therapist (because my mood swings were getting more and more frequent and intense), a GI specialist (because I’ve had stomach/digestive problems since January), and went in to the chiropractor (since I developed an acute pain in my back and muscle spasms, also stress related). Also, Stewart and I both have colds right now–we just barely made it to the weekend, and now we’ve crash landed (literally) and are attempting to get better before the grind starts up again on monday. After seeing the GI specialist yesterday, I’ve going to be on a general muscle relaxant (to get rid of cramping and problems in the intestines, etc). I’m also going off all dairy products for a few weeks, in case I’m lactose intolerant all of the sudden.

So, that’s where I am right now. Just took a nice long bath, and we’re watching the first Pirate movie, hoping that we’ll feel good enough to catch a matinee later this weekend.

Hopefully, I’ll have a better report soon.

similarities

1. It’s fucking hot here too (I think it broke 100 yesterday)
2. It was a loooong weekend
3. We saw X3 on Friday (and thought it was pretty good. Fun to watch, but totally contrived at points. Great cast though. Wolverine=totally hot).
4. Ah, did I mention it’s hot?

We’ve had to break down (goddamn, that gets DDR in my head…) and start up the air conditioner yesterday. As it was, it was so damn hot that we didn’t accomplish anything in the house, and I had myself a little tantrum at one point (the fucking heat, and the house being a disaster, and Stew not reading my mind, etc). So we took ice-cold showers and went and sat in Perkins for several hours, where I read the psychology chapters and Stew worked on the D&D campaign.

So this weekend, we spent Saturday with my mom’s family in Prairie du Chien, Sunday with Stew’s mom’s family in the Mauston/Necedah area, and Monday, well, doing nothing. So Stew dragged himself to work after not much sleep (the bedroom does not get cool at all), leaving me with the morning off but several hours worth of house work to do (lets just say, we have no clean bowls, or silverware at the moment). Then I work at Emerson this afternoon until Stew picks me up for class. Oh, I have to pack dinner as well (Tuesday is my day to pack food).

Hope everyone is attempting to stay cool and relaxed.

The pictures from the Spring ‘06 ring game are online already! I’ll post a few choice ones here (though, there are a ton because Adam was taking pictures all day).

galadriel official shot

good paladin official shot

We both kind of look dorky in these pictures (especially that face that Stew’s making, haha). But, it shows the cotumes. Don’t mind the discolored part of my dress-man, I should have tucked that out of the way.

some debauchery at the campout

I had found a couple of bottles of “Chuck wine” underneath my kitchen sink (right next to the cleaning products), so we brought it camping and made a big thing of it–having everyone drink it, carrying the empty bottles around through the whole game and taking pictures with it. So, if you see any bottles in the next pictures…we’re not alcholics or anything. Just being dorks.

it's morning...

But Stew can still manage to pose the bottle phallically.

this one's kind of cute

doing a little pose

The silver guy is Adam, who played Celeborne. The guy pushing him is Stew.

crack 'o doom

Here’s a chunk of the good team at the end of the game, sitting victoriously on the crack of doom. We’ve got the hobbits in the middle, Theoden (Caroline), Galadriel (me) on the left, that’s Aragorn (Scott), Gandalf (Amanda) and Arwen to the right, in the back right corner is a Citadel Guard (actually, Aragorn’s son Colin) and I believe the girl in blue was Goldberry. Also note the bottle, the ring, and the nerf thing in Pippin’s lap (it was painted up like a palantir, and he carried it around all day)

one more picture of liz and stew

The last two pictures were taked by Patrick (Merry).

Coolness. As always, check out the website for more awesomeness. Also, if anyone so feels like it, Jack–the guy who runs the website all on his own–has put a “make a donation” button on the page. Because, you know you guys would never see pictures of me unless someone else put them online (so true, so true).

Completely unrelated: has anyone played Super Smash Bros. for gamecube? That was one of Stew’s favorite games in college, and now I’m getting in to it too (along with DDR). In case you’re unfamiliar, it’s just one of those “mash the buttons” kind of games, but it’s cool because you get to be all these characters from different games (mario, luigi, link, zelda/sheik, donkey kong, pikachu, kirby, starfox, etc). So when you’re character’s doing well, the game cheers for you. So me, being totally cool, recorded a sound bite off the game on my phone. So now whenever Stewart calls me, it does his favorite character’s cheer (Falco, also from Starfox, if anyone’s curious). I think it’s totally hilarious. Stewart think’s I’m weird.

Anyways, gotta run.

Later!
