Slice and Dice

You know.... you would think I would learn to be more careful. Or that I would make better decisions. Two days ago, I was making guacamole and I decided to cut the lime in my hand. A practice I do often. However this time the peel of the lime was tougher than usual and the extra force landed the knife into the side of my index finger right where it meets the palm. I keep a frozen wash cloth in the freezer just for times like this. (Wet a wash cloth, wring it out, fold it, stick it in freezer) Lucky for me, I stopped the bleeding and managed to coax it into not needing stitches. However, the cut likes to pop open on occassion. While it does not bleed it's basically saying to me... that it should have been butterflied. It'll be interesting to see how it heals.

The burn looks magnificent. I believe all the vitamins and protein I pack into my day has turned the 2nd degree-strawberry-colored-partly-blistered-partly scabbed area into a nice, smooth, soft-pink hugh that is barely distinguishable from my own skin tone. I truly expected a nasty scar, I don't think i'm going to get much of one if any.

I bought new walking/jogging shoes this past weekend, and I finally got to try them out and the shoes felt great. I should have bought a pair sooner.

I think that John and I are going to see spiderman 2 today. and that I may take a small nap since I started my day with a 175 piece truck, which took me an embarrassing 4 hours to put away. But, in my defense, it was a horrible order and just not at all helpful the way that it was just piled every where.
i think i'm gonna go get a wee back crackin'.

ciao
