The Adventures of Fiona.... aka, I hated that wallet anyways....

Yeah, so I went to Prizm's wedding!!! Yay! Mike and her graciously flew me out there, and put me in a fantastic hotel for 4 days in exchange for my wedding photography services. It was a blast!

I was completely spoiled by them (all the vegan friendly restaurants that they made sure to take me to), Lap top to borrow while spending time in the hotel, the hotel room had a balcony with a river view, and a fridge and microwave. I was more than lavished upon.

Not to mention that they took me anywhere that time allowed. We visited the Pacific Ocean which was a dream of mine to see. I got to see the erie foggy pacific. and then later, during the drive home, the sun peaked out and I got to see the aqua qualities of the water, and the fantastic rock structures along the coast. The Atlantic coast and the Pacific coast are so different! It's wild. We ate at Mo's and I got to see a seal in the bay.

Friday night, was Prizm's bachelorette party. We went to Darcelle's where there was a cabaret drag show, with strippers to follow. One stripper had a sarong in his act, and I was like "F*&^% me! there goes all my money... hubba hubba."

We all picked different names for the night. There was Moses, Sasha, and Fiona accompanying the bride aka Jesus with the last name Juice.
I think I crossed myself a million times that night.

Then, we drove the drunken bride to be, home. All the while, she's shouting out the window.... "F*** You! I love Mike... I'm getting married!" Or some combination.

She then hurled, quietly, without letting anyone know, into her purse, which had my cell phone, wallet, and room key.

I really did hate that wallet. I am glad to be rid of it. And it wasn't covered or anything... It was in the other pocket, and the cell phone was unscathed... rock on.

Saturday, we went to Saturday Market while Prizm and Mike nursed their dehydrated hangovers. I bought even more soap. No comments from the peanut gallery. I know that I may never use all my soap in my lifetime, and I may have to bequeath it to someone in my will. I also purchased a sarong, and a Chinese ink drawing. It's of a horse. Kick ass!

The day of the wedding went the quickest! I got to help her with her hair, while I went over the photo list for the last time, and cleaned my camera. We were making mating calls of any animal we could think of, We were laughing so hard, that we actually couldn't do the horse one.

Then to further relax nerves, we drove to the wedding/reception site while humming "Private Dancer" by Tina Turner. Her Grandpa was driving, which is why we hummed, vs our earlier renditions of belting it out... out of tune.... completely...

The wedding was short, sweet, and beautiful. The posed photos didn't take too long... I'm guessing half an hour. I felt like a sheep dog trying to herd sheep.
It was fun... I brought out my photo dom persona and told everyone what to do. :P

There was some tricky lighting issues, and some abilities to work around, but all in all, I think it went well. I can add to my list of accomplishments, a large amount of people in a photo... 50 maybe?

Prizm totally chucked her boquet... as in, made people run for it... It was cute... it was airborn... I'm certain it may not be in the picture... but everyone looking way up in the sky... ha ha!

Yesterday, was devoted to airline travel, and a huge pain in my neck. Literally from sleeping wrong. I got to go to breakfast with the newlyweds, which was nice.

Prizm's grandparents picked me up to take me to the airport. Upon hearing that I was in pain, her Grandma said, "That won't do." and took me to her Mom, who totally hooked me up with an accupuncture session. It was wild. I've never had that before, and I got up off the table feeling like I had taken some drug.

Bam bam ba ba, ba bam bam ba ba... I wanna be sedated!

It was nuts, it worked! The majority of the stiffness was gone, and it was awesome.

Prizm's Grandpa, upon hearing that I was a person interested in travelling as many places as possible, made sure to 'take me over the bridge' into Washington so that I could mark off another state!

I made my flight and connections just fine... And Glory BE! there was a sign at the security checkpoint that said, "YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REQUEST A HAND INSPECTION OF ALL FILM" which, I was told, I could put all film less than 800 speed into the machine, without problem... and I said, " The sign says....."

Magic words. Hand inspection ensued. rock right on.

I am now home in Columbus, waiting for the time change so that I can call everyone and tell them I'm here, and everything's cool.

I have a list a mile long to do before I depart for Dayton, late Wednesday night so that I can pick up Scruffy, take him to my Dad's, and then go to my family reunion.

I was going to put in an entry that said, "I'll update later", but I realize that I do that a lot, and don't actually get around to updating. suck.

Mike and Amber, Congratulations!!!!

Well, everyone has to wait at least a week. I left the film with Prizm's momma. When they return from their honeymoon, perhaps we'll see them online then! So, I'm looking forward to seeing them too!!!

Sorry. When we are unhurried and wise, we perceive that only great and worthy things have any permanent and absolute existence, that petty fears and petty pleasures are but the shadow of the reality. Help me! I can not find sites on the: Tanning beds facts. I found only this - sunmaster tanning beds. Oh! If you; re interested in learning more about this there is a fantastic documentary done for doc zone on the cbc called the disappearing male. Their skin was the natural color that I was sweating to attain. With respect , Melina from Timor.
