They let us out early today. 2 hours. We'll probably have mandatory overtime on the weekend. Gah. One day is okay, but hopefully it won't be 2 days.
So, I came home and baked, and started my laundry and now awaiting 4:45 so that I can meet my Beau(x) at his place for a little shared space-creative-coffee/tea time. Which will consist of either writing and drawing by both of us. At this point, I don't have time to put away my laundry... Or maybes I will.
I am trying to placate Hemlock with the "Pet, Pet, Type" Maneuver. He is not at all pleased that my laptop has his glorified position, and that he can not climb all over me, but has to lay beside me. pet, pet, type.
He's so not buying it.
Well, I really need to get my kitchen straightened back up and my bags situated before I head out.
Happy New Years Everyone.
Well, Let me be the first to say that I am sooooooo very glad that 2006 is over.
I spent New Year's Eve very uneventfully asleep by 8 pm. Since I started my job in September, I can't seem to stay up very late. It was rainy and icky out, so we just stayed in, and went to bed early. We bought sushi and and ate it on our new sushi set. It's so cute.
Well, my school dropped my classes because my aid didn't come in on time because I missed one document. I wouldn't have spent the 15 bucks to next day express mail it had I known that it wouldn't arrive in time. I'm a little disappointed that I don't begin until my birthday (late March), however, I do see the opportunity to get some things done that I need to get done.
We moved to a better part of town just before Christmas. My room is smaller, and I still have to keep some stuff in storage, but I'm not paying that much in rent a month, so I really can't complain. This particular apartment community has a free gym membership with it, and a swimming pool in the summer months.
While moving, I fell, hurt my knees again. It's been forever since I've skinned my knees. I feel like I'm getting old because it feels terrible waiting for it to heal. I fell so hard that it felt like I got hit with a truck the next morning. So, again, lots of stretching, lots of heating pads, lots of advil, lots of vitamins, and lots of epsom salts.
Since I'm not able to go to school this time around, I think I'm going to console myself with a multiple belly dancing classes... probably for the month of February considering that I don't want to trash my knees the rest of the way.
Well, that's about all I can think of for now.
