Surprise
As usual it's been forever since I've last blogged.
The school year is winding down and the natives are restless. I'm tired of kids and ready for summer. Each year it gets a little harder to go back in the fall.
I told my sister I'd watch my 5 year old niece the month of June. She wants to take a graduate class. I'm not that excited about commiting a month of my summer vacation to child care but I wanted to help her out.
Just finished another season with the Allouez Community Band. It was a good season. I'm looking forward to starting back up the end of August. Still playing with the Howard Band though... no rest for the wicked. Speaking of wicked, I'm sure the director for Allouez thinks I'm a pervert. Had an embarrassing moment just recently with major blushing involved. You know how you say something and then you realize it doesn't come out quite the way you intended? Had one of those moments. *shakes head* I think I'll keep my mouth shut from now on... maybe!
The "boy" moved out again into his own apartment. He's managing one of three apartment buildings so he's getting his rent for half the cost. I hope this is his last move out of the house. Friends tell me odds are he'll move back at least one more time before he's gone for good. I hope he beats the odds and stays in his own place even though it may mean it'll cost me money keeping him in groceries. As long as he can pay his rent, car payment, gas and cell phone bill it's all good.
The "girl" has been busy taking her ACT's and will soon have her graduation pictures taken for senior year. They grow up so fast.
