Nathan and I have agreed that we’re not going to see or talk to each other tomorrow since we’re going to be spending Christmas hanging out with each other. We spent pretty much all day Thursday together and then a good portion of today together as well. This way, we’ll still have stuff to talk about by the time Christmas Day rolls around.
Part of our day today was spent at Home Depot, looking at water heaters. Nathan’s busted today so he wanted to look into cost and installation for either today or tomorrow. There was a lot of standing around looking at stuff and then looking for help, capped off by an extremely unhelpful conversation with a salesperson. Seriously unhelpful. I can’t even begin to recreate the conversation here because I wouldn’t be able to do it justice as to how insane it was.
After the Home Depot incident, we went for a late lunch at this little hole in the wall place called Mom’s. It’s tiny but by god do they make the Best. Pork. Chops. Ever. I am so full right now.
The weather today was nice. Slightly cloudy in the morning (~10:30am) with a temperature of 65F (18C). By the time we finished with Home Depot and lunch (3pm-ish), the temp was 72F (22C) and sunny with pretty clear skies.
And I’m not complaining about it at all because I’d rather it be nice and mild rather than cold and rainy. I’ll probably start bitching about the weather in January.
I’ve been through that whole hot water heater maze at Home Depot. Crazy! What I want to know is: Are you/Nathan happy with it and were you happy with Home Depot’s installation job?
